Program Description:
Webster University Thailand first opened its doors in 1999, and is a close-knit community of students, faculty and staff who represent over 60 countries. Webster Thailand is comprised of two separate campuses: the graduate Academic Center in Bangkok and the undergraduate campus in Cha-Am. The Bangkok Academic Center is a contemporary learning base located in the heart of Thailand’s capital. The undergraduate campus sits approximately three hours southwest of Bangkok near the coastal cities of Cha-Am and Hua Hin. This 40-acre, park-like campus is within 15 minutes of some of Thailand’s most beautiful beaches.

Thailand is full of beautiful landscapes, architecture, culture, and people that will keep you entertained and always wondering what will be discovered next. Lonely Planet describes Thailand as, “Friendly and fun-loving, exotic and tropical, cultured and historic, Thailand radiates a golden hue from its glittering temples and tropical beaches through to the ever-comforting Thai smile.”

Program Attend Webster Thailand and you’ll find the entire country is your classroom. Study abroad students benefit from the cultural diversity and dynamic international environment that is created by joining classmates from over 60 countries in the classroom. Classes are small and highly interactive, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and encouraging of individual talents.  All courses are taught in English by highly qualified faculty.  Students do not need to know Thai to apply.

Undergraduate students of all majors are welcome to study abroad at Webster Thailand even if their major is not offered in full at the campus.  Students can choose to take courses specific to their academic area or courses from the Global Citizenship Program (GCP), Webster’s globally-focused general education program. GCP courses are regularly offered at Webster Thailand, allowing for a vast selection of general education courses. Undergraduate students can study abroad for a summer term or a full semester.

When looking for courses, be sure that you are looking at courses for undergraduate students only and that you are looking at classes in the correct term of study.  Webster operates on a quarter system, so be sure to select courses in both fall/spring I and II. You will need to be sure that you are registered as a full time student according to Webster and Sacred Heart University.  That means you will take 12-15 SHU credits (4-5 courses) while studying at Webster.

Eligibility
You must have an overall GPA of 2.5+ and be in good disciplinary and financial standing with SHU.

It is truly a land of excitement and adventure! The town of Hua Hin is located approximately 200 kilometers south of Bangkok on the west coast of the Gulf of Thailand. It is the oldest, and most traditional, resort destination in Thailand with the attractions of a modern holiday destination mixed with the charms of an older fishing village from which it draws its roots. The King and Queen of Thailand call Hua Hin home, and it's no wonder why!

Webster University Thailand is a small, closely-knit family of students, faculty and staff occupying a delightful rural campus, situated close to the resort towns of Cha-am and Hua Hin and boasts a beautiful 40-acre campus. The campus has excellent facilities to support your educational experience: computer labs, library, cafeteria, recreational and exercise facilities, media lab, Internet access, and offices. Some of Thailand´s most beautiful beaches are just a 15 minute drive from the campus gates!

Webster University-Thailand also hosts a number of major social events during the year, including holiday parties, ice breaker for new students, and talent shows.
