Confirmation fee: You are required to submit a non-refundable confirmation fee payable to “Sacred Heart University” two weeks after your approval to study abroad on a SHU Office of Global Affairs program.  This confirmation fee secures your enrollment in SHU study abroad.
 
Billable program costs: The Sacred Heart University Student Accounts office will bill you for the following amounts:
  • SHU Full time tuition semester rate (Subject to change) - $19,785
  • Program fee* - $50
  • Study Abroad fee- $350
Housing is not included in the Total Billable Program Cost and will be billed directly to the student by Webster University

PROGRAM / STUDY ABROAD / CONFIRMATION FEE INCLUDES: Books, mandatory basic international health insurance, and an on-site Webster orientation program
  • Billable Items are posted to your Student Account once bills for the upcoming term are released;
  • If you receive scholarships, grants, or financial aid through SHU, these awards are posted to your Student Account according to the normal disbursement schedule.
PROGRAM / STUDY ABROAD / CONFIRMATION FEE DOES NOT INCLUDE: Travel to/from host country, housing, all meals, optional program excursions, major medical insurance, lab/studio fees, visa/resident permit fees, and all personal expenses
  • Non-billable items are estimates only and are subject to change based upon currency fluctuations, flight demand, personal spending habits, etc.  Actual non-billable expenses may be more or less than the listed estimates;
  • Some non-billable items may be due prior to the release of your semester bill and your financial aid, so students should be prepared to pay these expenses in advance.
Please speak with Financial Assistance to determine how your aid package will apply towards studying abroad.
 
Note about flights: All students participating in this program will receive the Webster WINS Travel Award. This award covers up to $1,000 towards your round-trip airfare.  If your round trip flight is more than $1000, you will have to submit the difference directly to the travel agent provided by Webster.  For more information please visit the WINS award web page.
