Scholarships

Scholarships

Scholarships are a great way to support the cost of your study abroad experience. In an effort to encourage you to study abroad, and to make a study abroad experience more affordable, the Office of Global Affairs prepared the following list of scholarships and financial resources.  Please note that this is not a conclusive list but it will help you start your search process.  The OGA encourages you to apply and take advantage of as many relevant scholarship opportunities as possible.

In addition to searching for funding for study abroad programs, you may want to consider searching for funding sources that base awards on such things as grades, ethnicity, field of study, location of study, volunteer work, etc. On this page you will find a variety of funding opportunities based on the above factors.

Please take note:

  1. Some scholarships may require you to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. You can access and complete this form online or you can pick up a paper copy from the financial aid office;
  2. Sometimes receiving an outside scholarship award may reduce the amount of your federal financial aid packet;
  3. Scholarship awards mailed directly to you may need to be reported on your income taxes;
  4. Scholarship funds may not become available until after your payment due dates.

Below is a list of scholarship categories to help you begin your scholarship search:
